"The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners." -Isaiah 61:1-2
Mexico is one of the largest nations of Latin America. This vast land contains many contrasts, from dry deserts to lush tropical jungles, and pine forest mountaintops to spewing volcanoes. Mexico is a nation rich with natural resources yet stricken with devastating poverty. The heart of God cries out for the men, women and children suffering from poverty, abuse, neglect and physical afflictions. You can help provide hope and healing by joining an Operation Serve ® team and ministering to these critical needs.
Jesus described the actions of those whom He would welcome into the Kingdom of God saying, "Come, you who are blessed by my Father... For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothing and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me." (Matthew 25:34-36)
More than 16 million Americans visit Mexico annually, but few have visited or served the people of the garbage cities and impoverished areas. Operation Serve ® sends short-term ministry teams to "the least of these." God has a message for Mexico, and he is looking for a messenger. Will you heed His call and be His messenger to Mexico?
